A place to call home.

CNL’s major sites provide employees an excellent quality of life. Our Chalk River Laboratories site is located 190 km northwest of Canada’s capital city of Ottawa and adjacent to the family-friendly communities of Deep River, Chalk River, Petawawa, and Pembroke. A number of recreational opportunities exist in the region, including famous Algonquin Provincial Park.

Our Whiteshell Laboratories site is located 105 km east of Manitoba’s capital city of Winnipeg, and adjacent to the communities of Pinawa, Lac du Bonnet and Beausejour. The site is close to the province’s premier natural and recreational region – the Whiteshell Provincial Park.

We also have teams working on project sites in communities, both rural and urban, across Canada.

Postdoctoral Program

The Postdoctoral Fellowship Program provides support to the most promising researchers at a pivotal time in their careers.

Postdoctoral Fellows will work directly with a research team led by a subject matter expert, who will act as a mentor overseeing the research, monitoring progress, and providing guidance. Research topics will be established jointly between the candidates and the mentors. The candidates are encouraged to submit their innovative research ideas on a specific topic for consideration.  The candidates will be required to document the research findings in CNL internal reports and publish it in peer-reviewed journals.
