The following information bulletin is in accordance with Canadian Nuclear Laboratories’ (CNL) ongoing commitment to voluntary public disclosure of events related to the Chalk River Laboratories site.
Chalk River, ON – July 15, 2025 – We are pleased to confirm, the Chalk River Professional Employees Group (CRPEG) ratified a renewed collective agreement on Friday, July 11. The agreement is for a 3-year term expiring December 31, 2026.
Chalk River, ON – July 3, 2025 – Following a meeting with representatives of the Chalk River Professional Employees Group (CRPEG) on Friday, June 27, we are pleased to confirm that CRPEG will be taking the Company’s latest offer to its members for a ratification vote and agreed to suspend the strike.
If the offer is not accepted following the vote, we will provide a further update.
Chalk River, ON – June 20, 2025 – The Chalk River Professional Employees Group (CRPEG) has rejected the latest offer from Canadian Nuclear Laboratories and has provided notice of strike to begin 2025 June 23. These employees represent staff in scientific and engineering related fields at the Chalk River Laboratories.
CNL has the necessary contingency planning and operational arrangements in place to ensure the safety and security of the site and facilities.
CNL respects the negotiation process and remains committed to working towards a fair and balanced collective agreement.
Chalk River, ON – June 2, 2025 – Following a meeting with representatives of the Chalk River Professional Employees Group (CRPEG) on Friday, May 30, we are pleased to confirm that CRPEG will be taking the Company’s latest offer to its members for a ratification vote and agreed to suspend the strike.
If the offer is not accepted following the vote, we will provide a further update.
Chalk River, ON – May 23, 2025 – The Chalk River Professional Employees Group (CRPEG), represented by the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC) served notice to CNL to initiate strike action as early as Monday, May 26, 2025. These employees represent staff in scientific and engineering related fields at the Chalk River Laboratories.
