The following information bulletin is in accordance with Canadian Nuclear Laboratories’ (CNL) ongoing commitment to voluntary public disclosure of events related to the Chalk River Laboratories (CRL).
Chalk River, ON – 2021 April 01 – On Tuesday, March 23, CNL’s fire response crew fell below the minimum complement on site for a brief period of time.
While the event duration was short, CNL recognized the issue, has taken action to understand the incident, and measures are in place to prevent reoccurrences.
The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission was notified of this occurrence.
CNL confirms that there is no threat to workers, the public, the environment or nuclear safety related to this event.
