2025 International Day of Women and Girls in Science Webinar
Developing through mentorship!
On Tuesday, February 11, Canadian Nuclear Laboratories will join the United Nations and the international community to celebrate the 10th International Day of Women and Girls in Science (IDWGS).
On this IDWGS, we are celebrating the important work women in STEM are doing to break down barriers and inspire the next generation of innovators.
Join us for an exciting virtual panel discussion with the researchers and students involved in the CNL-McMaster Undergraduate Nuclear Research Experience program as they share their experience as women in science, and the role of mentorship in their journeys.
About the CNL – McMaster Undergraduate Nuclear Research Experience
The CNL-McMaster Undergraduate Research Experience is a 16-week program for 12 undergraduate students in Science and Engineering designed to expose them to the nuclear sector and research at CNL, expand technical networks to encourage new collaborations, and develop future talent.
This program provides an opportunity for students to work on a research project at the university with a CNL co-supervisor. The highlight of the program is a two-week in-lab research experience on site at the Chalk River Laboratories. The students experience lectures, presentations, lab visits, tours of the Chalk River site and social activities – all in an effort to stimulate excitement about nuclear research, and, of course, working at CNL in the future!
