I am pleased to inform you that our client, Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL) has exercised its option under the Site Operating Contract (SOC) for a four-year extension beyond the initial 6-year term. Under the Government-owned, Contractor-operated (GoCo) model, CNL provides management and operations services to our client, AECL. In turn, AECL sets the direction and provides management and oversight of the contract. This contract commenced on September 13, 2015 for an initial six-year term with the option to renew for an additional four-year term. This renewal is a testament to the great work being performed by CNL’s 3,300 staff, its contractors, suppliers, and to the support we receive from the communities in which we operate.
