CNL Tours for High School Science Classes

Touring CNL gives high school science classes an opportunity to see what happens at Canada’s largest nuclear science and technology laboratory.  These tours are a new initiative, and  CNL is able to accommodate one school visit per month with booking of schools on a first come, first served basis.

The full day tour will enable the students to experience a broad cross section of scientific disciplines, with specific requests addressed on a case by case basis. The tours will also provide an overview of CNL and the benefits of nuclear science and technology.

Engage with CNL through Classroom Presentations

CNL has many different careers paths; from scientists, to machinists, and business analysts to name just a few. With expertise in many disciplines, there is a great opportunity for schools to tap into that knowledge base. CNL is able to provide presentations which can range from a general overview of CNL to specific topics on technical subjects or career choices.
In your request, please note:

  • Reason for presentation
  • Potential date(s)
  • Specific topics
  • Duration
  • Grade level

To best meet requests, it is imperative that CNL receive as much information as possible regarding the desired presentation. We will endeavor to meet all requests; however this does depend on the availability of our staff and the nature of the presentation. To request a presentation, contact Corporate Communications at [email protected].

CNL Science Fair Judging

As a scientific leader in the community, CNL has the ability to help schools in Renfrew and Pontiac Counties judge their science fairs. Should your school be interested in having a CNL employee judge your science fair please make the request to [email protected].
