Thank you to all staff, community members, parents, teachers, youth and all those who got involved, whether by submitting a design, sharing the contest info on social media or by simply voting. We saw a massive turn out with nearly 1000 votes! These six designs will be printed on road signs, and erected in turtle crossing hot-spots within Renfrew County to help reduce turtle mortality in our community.
We also received some wonderful late entries that also deserve to be showcased, though sadly these designs didn’t make it in time for voting.
And of course, our honourable mentions! Many voters said it was difficult to choose just one design to vote for, as each and every design we received was fantastic. Thanks again to our young artists who passionately worked to design these signs.
