CNL participates in Virtual Public Hearing regarding licence amendment

On November 25 and 26, 2020 CNL participated in a virtual public hearing on our application to amend the Douglas Waste Facility (DPWF) licence. If granted, an amended licence will allow us to move the facility out of ‘Storage with Surveillance” and progress towards final decommissioning.

The public hearing is an important process allowing the opportunity for intervenors to provide feedback to the Commission, CNSC staff and CNL.  The interventions received provided important feedback and will help guide our communications and actions as we move forward in our decommissioning process.

The outcome on the hearing is anticipated to be available in the initial part of 2021.
