Summer Student Eligibility

Students who are studying in fields relevant to CNL’s business or related support functions are invited to apply on-line to be considered for employment at CNL. Students must be actively enrolled in a university or college program and returning to school at the end of the student work term.  Students who meet the business needs are encouraged to apply online. 

All students must be legally eligible to work in Canada in accordance with Canadian immigration laws. All offers are conditional to regular security clearance and reliability check requirements.

Process 

Summer student positions are posted on the CNL external website under Student Opportunities.  Students interested in applying must submit their applications by the posting date of 2016 January 18 through the CNL website.  

Summary

  • Summer student positions are posted externally on our website in early January
  • Resumes are reviewed January to February
  • Telephone interviews are conducted in February
  • Two reference letters, collection of transcripts (interim or web copies), must be included with your cover letter and resume when completing the on-line application
  • Offer Letters released in March
  • Start dates are arranged for May (conditional upon CNL security clearance approval) 

Acceptable References:  we require two references from people who have known you for five plus years preferably one business and one personal. If you do not have a professional reference we will accept a teacher, coach, a person you have volunteered with/for (excluding relatives).

Please be advised that we do not accept faxed, emailed or mailed resumes. Resumes are only accepted for employment opportunities that are posted on the corporate website.  In order to be considered for summer student positions, student must register on-line.
