Co-op Opportunities

Student Eligibility 

College or university students who are studying in fields relevant to CNL’s business or related support functions are invited to apply on-line to be considered for co-op employment at CNL. 

There are three main periods of co-op employment for students; May-August, September-December and January-April. Work terms of other durations may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Students must be participating in a recognized co-op program as part of their studies at university or college and must be legally eligible to work in Canada in accordance with Canadian Immigration laws. All offers are conditional to regular security clearance and reliability check requirements. 


CNL posts all co-op opportunities on our external student page. Students interested in applying must submit through the CNL website. CNL will work with both the student and institutions co-op coordinators to ensure a timely recruitment process is completed. 


  • Co-op positions are posted externally on our external site
  • Students must apply on-line (include your cover letter, resume, two reference letters and transcripts (interim or web copies) 
  • Resumes are reviewed 
  • Telephone interviews are conducted 
  • Offer Letters will be sent to successful candidates 
  • Security clearance paperwork is submitted, and HR will contact the student to confirm start date

Acceptable References: we require two references from people who have known you for five plus years, preferably one business and one personal. If you do not have a professional reference we will accept a teacher, coach, a person you have volunteered with/for (excluding relatives).

In order to be considered for co-op positions, students must register on-line. CNL will not respond to general emails or telephone inquiries requesting updates on position status.
