This is your opportunity to visit the Chalk River Laboratories campus!

CNL is Canada’s premier nuclear science and technology organization. We have more than six decades of innovative thinking, expertise and experience coupled with science facilities that do not exist anywhere else in the country. Join us on Saturday, August 12, 2017 for a celebration of the NRU reactor's 60th year of operation, a first-hand look at the redevelopment of the site, and an introduction to our exciting new science programs.

There will be tours of our laboratories, equipment demonstrations, "mega machines", engaging presentations, entertainment for the kids and lots of "hands-on" activities. We are still working out the details, but you can expect regular updates over the coming months. A full schedule of events will be published here the first week of August, and regular updates will be posted online. We hope to see you there!

Our last event in 2012 saw more than 2,000 people visit the site; we encourage you to register early. There is no cost to attend, but it is important that you register to ensure we are well-prepared and able to offer you a great, safe, exciting and engaging day!

This page will be updated regularly as we finalize the schedules and list of activities.

Attention CNL staff: We need volunteers!

If you can spare a few hours on Saturday, August 12 we could really use your help in showing off the campus, and ensuring the day runs smoothly.  Please send us an email: communications@cnl.ca
